So, along with my thumb fiasco, I have also developed what I can only call a knitting callus. It’s on my left ring finger, and is getting sore. I finished knitting my octopus (from one of my all time FAVORITE books, Amigurumi Knits by Hansi Singh), and decided to take a break from knitting. I’ll stick to crocheting for awhile.
On another note, I’m considering whether or not to sign up for Craftsy’s online class for fitting knit sweaters and such. I have the book (Fitted Knits by Stefanie Japel) so I might just use that. Either way, I hope I learn something new!!
Well, I’m not sure if my hand is better yet, so I’m sticking to really small projects. I’ve crocheted two octopi, and am currently knitting one more. So far my thumb has cooperated, but I’m a bit worried about working on my sweater again. I might wait a day or two more before I continue working on it.
It’s official!! I shipped my first Etsy product today. <3 So happy!! I feel so… official now.
Well, I was working on my extra-super-incredibly-bulky sweater, and my thumb finally gave up. The area between my thumb and pointer finger got very sore and a little swollen. So now I’m watching So You Think You Can Dance and my fingers are so restless!! I can’t wait for my hand to recover. I’m hoping it will be better tomorrow. :) If not, I’m going to… I don’t know. It had better get better!!!
LINGONBERRIES!!!! Another delicious way to eat them: on crepes. (I’m in love!) I might even go as far as to say crepes+lingonberries>mashed potatoes+lingonberries… Maybe not. I’ll have to do a taste test or something.
Well, I have finally gotten around to posting some stuff on Etsy. Very exciting! If you want to head over there to check it out, click here: [http://www.etsy.com/people/theoneandonlyEMI?ref=si_pr] or go to the link at the bottom of the page. ^_^
I’m currently working on a sweater that uses super bulky yarn and size 11 needles. I think I’m crazy, because it’s heading towards summer, and it is KILLING my fingers working with such thick yarn for so long. I’ve never really worried about carpal tunnel before, but now… :( I have to stretch my fingers regularly. Also, I’m working it in 5 row stripes. Unfortunately, the increases are every 6 rows. Let’s just say I’ve had a lot of miscounting/undoing. But it still look pretty cool so far! We shall see how it comes out. ^_^
I finished my 3rd/1st (started it first, finished it third) scarf for the special Olympics!! So excited to see everyone else’s. (My knitting club is working on some as well. :D) If you haven’t seen it before, here’s the link for the scarf project: http://www.scarvesforspecialolympics.org/
I finished another one!!
And I have photographs. :) As you can tell, I actually got around to taking pics of the stuff I’ve made. If you want to, you can check out some of my older posts, which now have pictures. For example, my two cardigans, minion, and my guinea pig pattern. Yay for not procrastinating any more!!
