Doctor Who knitting bonanza!!

Guess what? I finally finished my 3rd TARDIS, fixed up the pattern, and listed it on Etsy! So it’s out there in the big wide world. Want to see what it looks like? Why don’t you go check it out!

As far as the Dalek goes, I undid everything…again. I am going to try with knitting this time–I think that will work better for this shape than crochet. Anyways, I’m still working on it, I promise. At this point, I MUST finish, just because it’s been such a hassle. I am a Taurus, you know. ;)

Panda!!

I found some ridiculously fuzzy yarn in the stash, so I did what anyone else would do–I made a fuzzy panda hat.

I really like it, but the yarn was not much fun to work with. It was kind of like crocheting with velcro. I’ll have to come up with some other way to use it. Maybe I’ll make more pandas. Now that I have the pattern, there should be a lot less frogging involved. (Frogging=unknitting/crocheting- you “rip it” (ribbit) (that’s the sound it makes)) Wow, that was a lot of parentheses.
Anyways, I am currently working on my own pattern for a crocheted loch ness monster, so keep an eye out for that. I’ll post it in my Etsy shop when it’s all done. :D I’m also working on getting everything ready for Exhibition Day–there’s a lot of pricing in my future… Hope you have a great day!!

Weekends…

Well, I was exceptionally productive today. I just went to a clothing exchange, so I had several new garments that needed slight tweaking to be perfect. I added a slip to one skirt, turned a dress into a skirt, and relined my crocheted skull bag. Okay, so that last one wasn’t a garment. :) I also posted a new patternΒ in my Etsy shop! Hope you like it. Anyways, despite getting a bunch of stuff done today, I still feel relaxed and ready for Monday. I hope the week ahead is as fun… I have an AP test on Thursday. Egads. Wish me luck!

Potential disaster…

I’m working on a wonderfully soft sweater, and it was coming along quickly and beautifully–until I ran out of yarn. O.o And yes, there was a dye lot. I tried to order more of the same dye lot, but I’m not exactly sure where I got the yarn originally, so I ended up buying a different dye lot. I’m not sure how different it is–sometimes it looks the same, sometimes it looks completely different. It is going to be at the end of the sleeves, and I’m thinking if I do it evenly on both sides, it will be okay. :/ This is a knitters worst nightmare!! Oh well. I can only cross my fingers and hope for the best.

On an entirely different note, I’ve been meaning to add another pattern to my Etsy shop. Any suggestions for what I should do a pattern of? Is there anything you’ve been searching for, but just can’t find? If your suggestion gets chosen, you get a 50% discount on the pattern. And I might pick more than one… Leave any suggestions in the comments. : ) Thank you!!

New Pattern!!

Ta da!! A new pattern has been listed in my Etsy shop. I am so excited to be sharing it with you guys!! I’ve made several myself, and love every one. If you want to know what the pattern is for, click the link
And there’s more good news. We have mailed our scarves off to North Dakota!! They should arrive soon. I’m so glad to be able to help out such a great organization I’m already looking forwards to next year!!

SO Scarves and Stitch London

I am thrilled to announce that my knitting group is ready to send off our scarves!! We’ve collected 12, and they’re all ready to go. We just need to decide on a place to send them, and they’re off!! :D I thought this day would never come.
On the other hand, my lovely homework has been keeping my knitting time to a minimum. I’ve been doing a lot of small boring stuff, nothing exciting. Well, except for one thing…
I got the book Stitch London by Lauren O’Farrell!!! I am sooo excited to start knitting up little trinkets for all my friends. They are adorable!!!
Speaking of adorable, I also purchased a MochiMochi pattern–the sushi bar. I couldn’t resist!! So now I have many things to knit, and no time. :/ But, there are only two more weeks in the semester (eeek!!!) and I should have more time next semester. *crosses fingers*
I am also hoping to have a new pattern up on Etsy soon… I hope you like it!!

New year, new projects…and some old.

I hope you had a wonderful and safe New Year’s. I sure did–I was knitting while waiting for midnight. I found and adapted an excellent pattern for fingerless gloves, possibly my favorite ever. I’ve made four pairs already, and I’m on my fifth. They are super fast and fairly simple.
I also came up with a crochet pattern for a baby dragon, fitting perfectly with the beginning of the year of the dragon. Here’s a photo of the two I’ve made:

I’m thinking of putting the pattern on Etsy, so there can be lots of baby dragons roaming around. :D
Anyways, school starts up again tomorrow. I’ll once again be swamped with homework. Hopefully I’ll still have time to create some cool stuff. I’m still working on that striped sweater…I just need buttons. :) I’m excited to finally be able to wear it, because I feel like I’ve been working on it forever. Good thing it’s been a fun process.

Sun phone charms!!

I was playing around with some ideas the other day, and came up with a super cute phone charm!! I am planning on making some more (maybe a flower?) when I have the time. You should head over to my shop and take a look. :)

PHONE CHARMS!!!

MY PHONE CHARMS CAME!!! It took awhile, but they were coming from a long way away. I have been waiting for awhile, but they are finally here, so I’m stoked. I have a gazillion hours of homework, so it will be awhile, but I’m looking forwards to creating some awesome phone charms for Etsy. I’M SO FREAKING EXCITED!!!!! I will post again with photos and a link to the listing. Don’t hold your breath though, because it’ll be at least 3-4 days, and you will need oxygen to your brain before then. I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
Another super exciting tidbit-it’s more than a week before Halloween, and I’ve got my costume all figured out. So proud of myself. I’m going to be Emily the Strange, who is awesome. I’ll post a photo for people who don’t know who she is, and for people who do know who she is but want to see a picture anyways. So, if you don’t have your costume yet, I’m sending you good luck. :D

Edit: WordPress app is being funny and not letting me post a photo. :( I suppose you can Google “Emily the Strange” until I figure this out. Sorry for the inconvenience. <3

Armadillo

I was really excited to start the construction of my armadillo, when I realized the head is way too small. I guess I was only increasing/decreasing, and forgot the plain knit rows in between. So, I redid the head, which means I have to also redo the ears, because I already sewed them on. I’m starting to run out of yarn, but I don’t want to buy more for one ear. I’m doing my best to use every inch I have left!!
In other news, I’m waiting for the supplies I ordered on Etsy to come. It’s kind of like waiting for Christmas, except I already know what I’m going to get.
I’m slowly making progress with my tank top and sweater as well. The sweater is almost becoming tedious, and the tank top is just crazy–it’s pretty tight, but I have to try it on all the time, because I’m making up the pattern. Yikes. But I am determined to finish both projects…eventually.
