Taking care of business…

Well, I had to go to school today to get my tentative schedule and turn in various forms. As a bonus, I got to see all my friends again!! Well, not all, but quite a few. It makes me excited to start school again, as weird as that sounds. But, true to my teenage nature, I went to the pool with my best friend after. We might as well make the best of summer while it lasts!! Tomorrow I take my senior pictures, and Tuesday is the official start of school year 2011-2012.
On a craftier note, I have started construction on a crocheted tank top. It’s dark blue, with dark blue stripes. Ok, you kinda need to see it. I’ll post pictures soon, when it looks like more than a rectangular blob. But to get there, I seriously need some sleep. Zzzzzzzzzzzz…

Vacation!!

Well, I have had very little time to do much knitting lately. I have started an armadillo, inspired by Rango. Here’s the pattern (it’s not mine): http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/don-the-dillo-knit-armadillo . I am super excited to see how he comes out!!
In other news, I have been having a blast with my family. My Yiayia showed me how to make tiganopitas last night–SO DELICIOUS!! (They are basically crispy pancake you fry and put feta/parmesan on. How can you go wrong?) I promise, once I have time to type up all these recipes, I will share. But for now, I am enjoying every second with my Yiayia and cousins and aunt and uncle. My cousins and I are now pretty obsessed with the smurf village game. It’s addictive!!
Anyways, it’s late, or early, and I’m tired. おやすみなさい!!

Only 4 hours of sleep…

Well, last night I gave little Buckbeak to his new mommy. She loved him!! It was a sleepover party, and I actually made it all night with no sleep. I made it to six o’clock, watched the sunrise with my friends, and slept for 4 hours, then managed to function for the rest of the day without a nap. Needless to say, I’m 100% ready for bed!!
My next project (I think) will be little fruit keychains. I’ve made a few strawberries, and they’re adorable. We’ll see how well the other fruits/veggies work out.

Crepes…

Made and devoured crepes TWICE today. Good thing I have a lot of jam to go through…
Went and saw my sister in her play again. She’s awesome. Also got to rag along to the cast party! In-N-Out (yummy chocolate shake!) and off to a-person-who-shall-remain-anonymous’s house. Then, glowsticks and truth or dare. Good times… And now I’m dead tired, but looking forwards to a bike ride tomorrow. I’ll need to work off some of those crepes! おやすみなさい!!
